Our 4-Step ITAD & Recycling Process
1. Reach Out With Your Inventory
Provide us with the details of your retired technology— whether it’s thousands of laptops, a network of POS terminals, or full data center hardware.
We’ll discuss your goals—buyback, secure disposal, or both—and confirm any special requirements, such as serialization or specific compliance standards.
- Retired Hardware: Laptops, POS systems, or data center gear
- Flexible Objectives: Opt for buyback, safe disposal, or a combination
- Compliance & Reporting: Ideal for HIPAA, finance, and internal audits
2. Receive Buyback Offer & Logistics Quote
We’ll evaluate each device for potential resale value. You’ll get a buyback quote covering usable assets, data destruction and recycling.
We also support logistics, including nationwide or local Chicagoland pickups, ensuring a fully documented chain-of-custody from your site to our certified facility.
- Fair Buyback: We pay top market value for working hardware.
- Seamless Transport: Freight, scheduling, and secure handling managed by POSRG.
- Cost Transparency: Clear info on any fees for non- resellable or end-of-life devices.
3. Testing, Data Destruction & Serial Reporting
When devices arrive, we follow R2v3 and NAID AAA protocols to wipe or shred all data-bearing hardware.
Working units are refurbished for resale; non-functional ones are responsibly recycled.
- Certified Data Security: NAID AAA wiping/shredding ensures total peace of mind
- Thorough Testing: Maximizes resale ROI while recycling non-functioning hardware
- Serialized Reporting: Perfect for audits, chain-of-custody, and financial records
4. Receive Payment & Documentation
You receive prompt payment for all qualifying hardware, plus Certificates of Data Destruction and Recycling.

What is ITAD Asset Disposition & Recycling?
In the IT world, asset disposition (often called IT Asset Disposition or ITAD) refers to the comprehensive process of removing data, recycling hardware, repurposing assets, or otherwise disposing of outdated or end-of-life technology assets in a secure, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective manner.
It goes beyond merely throwing away your old equipment—rather, it’s about maximizing value, mitigating risk, and protecting the environment.
Think Globally. Act Locally.
