POS Services: Recycling

If Point of Sale Remarketing Group (POSRG) determines that a used point of sale item we received is best disposed of via recycling, we strictly use downstream R2-certified recyclers to provide this service for our customers for four basic materials:

• Electronics — essentially anything with a circuit board, also known as eWaste
• Plastics — high- and low-density polyethylene, polypropylene and polystyrene
• Metal — ferrous (iron and steel) and nonferrous (aluminum, copper, tin and brass)
• Corrugated materials — OCC and other commonly used packaging materials

Our local recycling partners help us adhere to our high standard of environmental responsibility by maintain a system of downstream accountability for our electronic equipment, from initial reception all the way to final disposition. Using R2-certified recyclers guarantees that all downstream recipients of our materials are also recycling them in a responsible manner. Along the way, we ensure complete data security in compliance with state and federal environmental protection agencies (EPAs) to minimize the environmental impact.
